The Story of the Stats – Part 1

Introduction

This is a first in a series of trainings called “The Story of the Stats.”

The analytics graph above shows the growth in visitors for one of my sites at Wealthy Affiliate (WA).  Over the next ten lessons or so, I’ll be using the graph to illustrate the principles I use to build MICRO NICHE SITES using the Wealthy Affiliate training.

Think of this series as focused case studies wrapped around the WA training engine.

By the way, a micro niche site is similar to a niche site that you create inside of Wealthy Affiliate, only it’s easier to build. I’ll say more about them in the series.

So without further ado, here is the first part of the story.

THE STORY OF THE STATS – PART #1 – YOU GOTTA GO ALL IN WITH ONE SYSTEM

Going all in with one system / program is probably the most difficult lesson I’ve had to learn in my digital career.

And I learned it the hard way.

I got sucked into the easy money vortex.

I went all “shiny object syndrome” and bought every product under the sun trying to crack the Internet code. I also joined about 8 affiliate marketing companies as a PAYING MEMBER but never worked any of them.

I went into debt and lied about it.

It’s what I called Internet Marketing he**.

Anyway, the point of this side show is to warn you that chasing the MMO rabbit is a dead end. At the same time, I want to encourage you to choose one system for your business and then GO ALL IN.

That is one key to success!

Step 1 – Choose one system

There are many good training systems and platforms to teach you to build an online business.  I’ve tried several of them:

  1. Four Percent Group – Teaches you to build yourself as a brand with an affiliate marketing website. You’ll have to spend $2,500 going in if you want to take full advantage of the program.
  2. Elite Marketing Pro (EMP) – Using FB ads and attraction marketing to recruit for your online business. Very much geared toward network marketers.  $300 annual plan gives you 20 affiliate products to promote + a WP website using the Thrive Architect theme.
  3. My Lead System Pro – Very similar to EMP and also using the concept of attraction marketing to build yourself and a website.  Geared for digital marketers in general.
  4. Partner with Anthony (PWA) – Step-by-step training to create an affiliate marketing website. $7 per month for the training but you’ll have to pay the $1,500 upgrade if you want to promote all of PWA products as an affiliate.

Returning to Wealthy Affiliate

And then, about a 18 months ago, I came across Wealthy Affiliate for the second time.

The first time I left WA was because I didn’t want the hassle of creating a website as the core of my online business.

Well, guess what?

A few years later, after wandering around in digital he**, I’ve learned that building a website is one of the best, most flexible and most rewarding ways to create an online business.

And after testing out countless systems for the most effective way to do that, I’ve gone all in with Wealthy Affiliate

I love it’s honest, step-by-step approach to building an online business. I love that building a website is at the core of their business model. I love the incredible training on EVERYTHING digital marketing, the community and the great support.

I have bet my entire business model on the principles taught within WA.

The stats tell a story, which is also the fruit of those principles.

Step 2 – Make a one year commitment

Once you choose the system that is right for you, then you GOTTA GO ALL IN with that system.

This means you become the expert in that program. You figure out the ins and outs. In order to become a trusted guide for people, you have to put in the time to understand the program you are using.

In my case, I use the product for my own digital business WHILE promoting the platform for those who want to begin their online business.

When you become a trusted guide for someone, when you begin to add value back into the marketplace instead of being a copycat zombie, then you’ve got the makings of a very nice online business, one you can be proud of and one that makes an impact on people.

For me, going all in meant taking advantage of the Wealthy Affiliate annual subscription right after I joined.

It was a no-brainer.

It’s 50% of the regular price.  But beyond the cost, there was something very important that happened to me ON THE INSIDE when I committed in this fashion.

Take a look at the graph again.

I purchased my annual subscription on the Black Friday weekend in November 2018.

That day, I decided I was going to commit to the WA process for one full year. I had been dabbling around for far too long.

And that’s when I really got into gear and started producing consistently, when I made the attitude switch in my brain and when I made that investment.

Soon after, I started to see an increase in my numbers. And they’ve been growing ever since as I’ve gone deeper into the trainings and have added more content.

And that is Part 1 of the Story of the Stats. You gotta go all in with one system.

Next week, I’ll dive in to niches and micro niches. Choose the right one, and producing content will be like a walk in the park. Choose the wrong one and it’s like pulling teeth.

Til next time.

Gustavo

P.S. If you are interested in a different approach to building an online business (and on how we use WA to build micro niche sites), I invite you to join the Honest Digital Revolution.

  1. Wow! What an amazing journey! I’m also studying digital marketing and hope to be as successful as you too! And related to the traffic you get 3000 for less than a year, do you get it by sign up on WealthyAffiliate program?

I have heard and read some positive reviews about the website, but I have not dared to try. Maybe you can give me some information.

    All the best!

  2. Hello Gustavo, I must say that this article is very helpful and informative. I heard about Wealthy Affiliate back in 2017 and firstly I did not believe in it, I was thinking it was some sort of scam but still I worked on my blog day after day and today I am a full-time marketer who lives from online income. I definitely recommend it to folks who are decided to work from their own home.

  3. Wow, I have to say that this graphic is looking really amazing! At the moment my own website is growing steadily but slow, I didn’t know what to do about it, but I think the WA program you are talking about might suit my needs! Will more information follow about it soon Gustavo? I’m dying to hear more about this platform, what they have to offer, how they help you, etc. I’m doing it all by myself now and I feel that I’m desperate for help…

    • Hi Virenda, thanks for your comments.  Yes, the WA program and platform is awesome.  It’s the one I use but as the article says, it’s not the only one.  The key is to choose one of the good ones and work it until you succeed. I will be writing more on this topic, website and graph.  You can check out my review of Wealthy Affiliate on my digitooly.com site.

Good luck.  Reach out if I can be of help.

  6. It’s nice to see your steady improvement in visitors on your site. Having visitors on your site is one of the joy of a site owner who is serious about their site. I am a member of wealthy affiliate and although i am still in my training phase, but it would be a great joy to get such steady increase of visitors on my site. I trust WA would be really helpful to help with how one can have as a good site. Thanks for sharing.

      Good luck to you.
